THE TEN SPOT

Kristen Wood

Kristen Wood is the CEO & Creator of THE TEN SPOT, a chain of upscale Beauty Bars established in 2006. As CEO, Kristen's main focus is on brand oversight, development and expansion - she has her hands in everything; from developing new service protocols to designing all visuals and collateral, to wining and dining all our new franchise partners. With a burning desire to start her own business and perceiving a gap in the current spa/salon service offerings in Toronto, specifically the need for services offered in an environment that combines the efficiency of low-end nail salons with the quality standards excellence of high-end spas, she decided to open up Toronto’s niche Beauty Bar and “anti” Spa on the hip strip of Queen West. Kristen was named one of PROFIT/Chatelaine Magazine’s top 100 female entrepreneurs in Canada in 2015 and 2014. She also received the special achievement award from PROFIT magazine for being Canada’s Top Young Female Entrepreneur. Kristen was also awarded placement in the Ernst & Young Winning Women program 2014. Since its first opening THE TEN SPOT has grown exponentially across Canada with plans for the US of A! When Kristen is not in the office she is swooning over her young son and enjoying weekly date nights with her Hubby.
