Sherilyn is a graduate of the pharmacy program at the University of Saskatchewan, and has experience practicing in hospital, home care, and community pharmacy settings, including in Alberta with authorization to both prescribe and administer injections. In 2013 she completed her PhD from the University of Alberta, and joined the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor in 2014. She is the chair-elect of the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Research Group and is on the executive committee for the Ontario Pharmacy Evidence Network (OPEN). Her research and teaching interests focus on the clinical and economic outcomes of pharmacists’ expanded scope activities, and facilitating the provision of these services by community pharmacists. She also has an interest in the role of pharmacists in providing care for patients in their homes, and in travel medicine and vaccination programs.
