Kashmera Self, one of the Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, VP of Strategy and Emerging Solutions Delivery at Interac Corp., and a passionate advocate for economic innovation and transformation within Canada assumes the role of Honourary Chair of the Economic Club of Canada in Toronto today.
Self has a strong history of leading strategy development and execution of future- looking initiatives including digital commerce, open banking, data exchange, blockchain, workforce, and innovation with a social purpose in Canada. “I’m passionate about supporting the Canadian innovation ecosystem and look forward to assuming this new honourary role as Chair of The Economic Club of Canada to foster innovation and social change among some of the top executives in Canada,” says Self.
Self’s appointment to The Economic Club of Canada’s top honourary position will be announced today at the sold-out luncheon event in Toronto.
The Economic Club of Canada was acquired by Big Picture Conferences last year. Former owner, CEO and past president Rhiannon Rosalind will be transitioning out of her current roles and focusing on her new ventures, Conscious Economics and Lunar Studios, which she founded in 2019.
“This is the first Honourary Chair in the history of The Economic Club of Canada. Kashmera is a proven leader that understands the value of the Club, and the role that it plays in shaping policy and economic discourse in Canada. We are all very proud that she has accepted this new role,” says Rosalind.

The day-to-day operation of The Economic Club will be managed by Stephanie Gadbois, the Executive Director of The Economic Club of Canada and Big Picture Conferences.
